History
Ridgecliff Foundation was established in January, 1991 with the funds received from the sale of Ridgecliff Hospital, located in Lake County, Ohio. This hospital had provided psychiatric and chemical dependency services primarily to residents of Northeast Ohio. The Foundation has continued that tradition through its grant-making by supporting programs in the mental health and chemical dependency areas, particularly for new and innovative projects.
Ridgecliff Foundation is an Ohio nonprofit corporation, classified currently as a private foundation and is exempt from Federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Since its inception, grants totaling over $14 million have been made to nonprofit organizations providing mental health and chemical dependency services.
